Macintosh OSX Dial-Up Instructions


1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select the System Preferences... option




2. In the System Preferences window, click on the Network icon. Click on TCP/IP and set Configure to Using PPP. Leave the Domain Name Servers section empty. Under the Search Domains enter tns.net.




3. Now click on the PPP section. Under Service Providor enter TNS. Under Telephone Number enter the TNS access number that was provided to you. You can enter an alternet access number under Alternate Number if you want. Enter you TNS user name under Account Name and enter your password under Password. Check Save Password if you want to save your password for futer use. Now click the PPP options button.




4. Under Session Options: choose the options you want. Under Advanced Options check Send PPP echo packets and check Use TCP header compression. Now click ok and then ckick save to save your configuration




5. To dial up to TNS, you'll need to launch the "Internet Connect" application. You can find it by clicking on the "Go" menu, and selecting "Applications", or by clicking the Finder in the Dock and clicking the Applications button. Click on the "Internet Connect" icon to open the window, and once the Connection window is up, just hit the "Connect" button to connect.
